Our Founding Fathers Said :

"Democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch...
Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote"

Ben Franklin

"During this political season let's be reminded of these wise words. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."

Abraham Lincoln (also attributed/disputed ) to in
1916 to the Rev. William J. H. Boetckeo

"Democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."

Thomas Jefferson

God forbid we should ever be twenty years without a rebellion. the people cannot be all and always well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of facts they misconceive, If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is a lethargy, The forerunner of death to the public's liberty...
And what country can preserve it's liberties if it's rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? ...
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It's natures manure..."

Thomas Jefferson 11/13/1787

* "Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation ... Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms."
James Madison, The Federalist 46
* "Are we at last brought to such a humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted for our own defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in our possession and under our own direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?"
Patrick Henry
* "That the Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to infringe on the just liberty of the press or the rights of conscience; or to prevent "the people" of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms."
Samuel Adams

* "A free people ought ... to be armed." George Washington

* "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." Thomas Jefferson

* "If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government, and which against the usurpations of the national rulers, may be exerted with infinitely better prospect of success than against those of the rulers of an individual state." Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist No. 28

"Government is like fire, a handy servant but a dangerous monster"

George Washington

"When the people fear the government, there is tyranny,
When the government fears the people, there is Liberty!"

Thomas Jefferson

"It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority"

Benjamin Franklin

"The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is,
As a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

Thomas Jefferson

"Freedom is a fragile thing, and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance, it must be defended constantly by each generation for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it, have never known it again."

Ronald Regan

"If we have to we should take our soldiers up into the Blue Ridge mountains of our great country and their the people would fight till their last breath for the next twenty years if need be."

George Washington

"I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents."

James Madison

"With respect to the words, "general welfare," I have always regarded them as qualified by the details of power connected with them. To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a metamorphosis of the Constitution…[that] was not contemplated by the creators."

James Madison
Letter to James Robertson, April 20, 1831 (Madison, 1865, IV, pages 171-172)

"Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to god"

Thomas Jefferson

"To preserve Liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people possess arms, and taught alike, especially when young how to use them"

Richard Henry Lee 1787

“Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government.”

 James Madison

"Educate a man in mind and not in morals and you educate a menace to society."

Teddy Roosevelt

"Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated."

Thomas Jefferson

Bitter or Right ? We're Right!

In a speech given by the current Elected Socialist, said small town Americans are Bitter and clinging to their guns and religion because of economics and apathy and fear of people not like them...What a Crock of  crapola!

We The People of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA cling to our guns to protect our families and our freedom!

Guns are Liberty's teeth. They are the tools to protect us from tyranny in Government and assault from people out to harm us either foreign, or domestic.
The founding fathers and everyone with an ounce of sense knows this.

As James Madison said;

T]he advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.
Federalist No. 46

HOWEVER:

When government, tyrants, socialists, and criminals, threaten our fundamental right to life and limb they do it in an obscure methodical method... like what's happening now and even though SCOTUS tossed us a bone with Heller don't become complacent.

The appointment of Eric Holder, HR 45 and whatever else they throw at us,this is a glimpse of what's yet to come as the current SCOTUS members get set to retire or due to health step down. Eric Holder is known as anti gun as well as  for freeing (helping to)  FLA terrorists and pushing pardons for Criminals in Billy Boy Clinton's exit from the oval office.

When the case against Miller went before SCOTUS back in 1939  it was won only because the bootlegger and his attorney didn't show up to fight it. THAT WAS THE BEGINNING TO THE END!

When the bonus marchers went to Washington in the middle of the depression to ask for their government to give them their military service bonus' early at a reduced amount, they were met by McArthur, Patton, and, Eisenhower in tanks and on horseback with sabers and pistols who burned out of their shanty town and some died.

The '68 gun ban and others are slowly eating our rights away.

Despite the Elected Socialist's lip service that he "respects" the 2nd Amendment .. He and Eric Holder will work to destroy our Constitutional rights, they, along with the leftist Congress, might as well have brought back Janet Reno or Sarah Brady to head the assault on our freedom.

Below is a chart from the Jews for Firearm Preservation which shows how slowly and methodically people who were disarmed fared:

Hitler started with registration, too...

DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION YET?

In this Country we have a proud heritage of FREEDOM, some  received it sooner than others but, by the passage of the 13th, 14th and 19th Amendments to our rule of law (the Constitution) every legal American citizen is equal, and afforded the same rights.
(EXCEPT IN NORTH CAROLINA WHERE JIM CROW LAWS STILL EXIST!)

The economic downturn has frightened many normally good and patriotic  citizens into non thinkers who will shortly regret their choice to support the Elected Socialist's feel good mantra about going to the center, spreading the wealth, and hope and change, he is the most far left threat to hit our American freedom since King George the III.

In reality:
We're going to be seeing more bank robberies, home invasions, hold ups, and stick-ups at the local late night grocery and 7-11 stores as people have less and less to keep because it's been spread around and they can't afford to feed their kids..
And...

We're going to be slowly and methodically  be disarmed, regulated and taxed, so severely restricted that we'll have no defense. No ways to feed our families, friends and neighbors.

All because AMERICANS lost sight of history and don't believe it can happen here
....

WELL IT CAN!!!
 AND
WE NEED TO TAKE CHARGE of our lives AS OUR FOREFATHERS DID
AND SAY
WE'RE PROUD,
WE'RE AMERICANS, AND,
DON'T TREAD ON ME!

REMEMBER FLY YOUR CULPEPER FLAG
(to get one see my post on My Colors don't run do yours? for links)

MY COLORS DON'T RUN ...DO YOURS?

The CULPEPER flag
I have decided to, and, respectfully ask All Americans, who want to resurrect this great land to start flying the Culpeper Flag of Patrick Henry!

The Culpeper Flag was the standard of a group of militia men from Culpeper County, Virginia. They were attached to the First Virginia Regiment, led by Colonel Patrick Henry, who is perhaps most famous for his statement, "Give me liberty or give me death!" The flag features the familiar rattlesnake symbol, the warning, "Don't Tread On Me", and the inspiring words of their leader, Colonel Patrick Henry

They can be bought here and they are AMERICAN MADE
(disclaimer I have no ties of any sort to this company but buy American only,... whenever possible)

http://www.flagstuff.com/historic-flags/culpeper.html

Or Here (cheaper, not all American made)

http://www.united-states-flag.com/culpepper.html

Support The America we love and show your dissent for the Elected Socialist,

I have decided to lower my American Flag to half staff and Fly the Culpeper flag in it's stead... till we are once again the America our founding fathers fought for.

These colors don't run do you?
